The Musichronicle for Monash Chamber Orchestra

This project was created as a part of Semester 6 Final Year Project module.

Created as part of final year project, the branding project titled "The Musichronicle" sets to investigate the slow-growing orchestral culture in Malaysia. As classical musicians are actively performing in large venues and celebrated festivals, orchestra performances are something hard to get by, metaphorically - general public still did not show much enthusiasm towards orchestral music, let alone live orchestra.

Thus, a three-step campaign strategy (Fame, Funding, Foster) is developed to help Monash Chamber Orchestra succeed in orchestral marketing effort. The project features an introductory book and documentary film, showcasing the semester-length journey of orchestra concert-making by a group of young passionate musicians,  happened on 14th September, titled "Unlock:World of Wonders".

A brief re-branding was also carried out to give Monash Chamber Orchestra a fresh look. A new typeface, "Chamber Display" is created based on Old Roman typeface (most notably, "Mrs Eaves") to provide the orchestra an authentic and consistent outlook; meanwhile, a series of illustrations and line art are also created as part of the design elements that support the book design and film.
